Nine Gates

Do you consider yourself original? Is what you create or write original, or did you get the idea from someone else? I believe in today's society people like to use the easy way out when the going get tough. The thought process is never only your thoughts you have to ask other people if what you think is a good idea, is. People have to make sure anything is socially accepted before they create anything. In the article "Nine Gates" it share the Buddhist psychology system. It share the five great fears.
1. Fear of death
2. Fear of the loss of livelihood
3. Fear of unusual state of consciousness
4. Fear of loss of reputation
5. Fear of public speaking
It says that each effects your ability to think originally, but the worst of all if them is fear of public speaking. It is the worse one because it allows the idea of social rejection. Then after that it is the fear of death. I think each of us has our own version of originality, we just need the right kind of push to get it out of us. Also, i think we have to be able to set aside the fear of rejection and believe in ourself. It wont be easy but i think you can accomplish it if you put enough work into it.

Homosexuality

Have you ever been the one to question yourself about what gender you like? For me personally, i like guys...a lot. In the olden days gay guys and lesbian girls were really never heard of. In todays society, it is more commonly accepted. I have nothing against homosexuality, i just think they should respect other people who are straight and not hit on them. Two of my bestfriend's have a family member that are gay, and they are two of the most amazing people i know. I am a Christian and i believe in the bible, and in the bible it talks about being gay is wrong. I have always question myself on the fact of the matter that if it says being gay is wrong, then why does God allow people to be gay? I have also heard the arguments  of the fact that you cant help if your gay, you were just born that way. Of all the gay people i know i have always asked what made them gay, or if there was an incident that happen to turn them gay. The most popular answer i get is "i cant help i'm gay,i was born this way". I will never forget one guy i used to work with story about knowing he was gay. He was very open about being gay and he would educate me of why he liked guys and not girls. Then one day he finally broke down and told me the root to him eventually turning gay. He used to live right next to this girl he was in love with, they road the bus to and from school together. He always walked her home and made she she arrived safe and sound. Until, one day a new kid moved into the neighborhood. He said it was love at first sight. He thought he was so attractive and couldn't understand why he had these feelings for boys. The feeling eventually became so strong he couldn't control it and that was the day he knew he liked boys. He felt stronger feeling for this new kid the the girl he "loved". All in all, i personally have nothing against people being gay, i just think if you are going to be gay you shouldn't make other people around you feel weird and think are they going to hit on me or not.
